This page describes the agreement you automatically enter into by accessing our website. If you don’t agree with any of the terms outlined below, please do not access our website or any of the resources available.

The My CAMHS Choices website is managed and owned by the Evidence Based Practice Unit at the Anna Freud Centre. Your use of this web site constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, which take effect on the date of your first use of the site.

The EBPU reserve the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of this agreement as modified by the posted changes.

If, at any time, you choose not to accept the Terms of Use, please do not use the site.


This resource has been developed by young people in collaboration with professionals, as part of a three year project funded by the Department of Health. Please refer to our About page for more information about the project.

Your use of this website constitutes an understanding of the nature of this resource in relation to the project, and represents an understanding that this resource may undergo continued refinements and development, which may affect the nature and content of the site, either of individual parts or of the resource as a whole.


Whilst we endeavour to make sure the site is available 24 hours a day, we will not be liable if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period. There may be occasions where the site is unavailable for maintenance reasons.

Transcriptions and subtitles

We endeavour to make sure the website is accessible to everyone and we are therefore in the process of adding transcriptions for all video interviews currently available to view on the website. We are also committed to ensuring that all future videos that are created for the website have subtitles.

Changing text size:

You can change your text settings through your browser options:

In Internet Explorer, go to View > Text size and select your desired text size setting (eg, larger, smaller).

In Firefox, go to View > Text size and increase/decrease using Ctrl and + or -

If you have a scroll wheel on your mouse, you can hold down Ctrl and scroll back or forth to increase or decrease the font size in both IE and Firefox.

Changing your computer screen settings:

To change the size of the image shown on your screen on a PC running Windows 95 and upwards, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings and change the desktop area by using the sliding bar.

On an Apple Mac, you can use the Monitor & Sound Control Panel to change the resolution.


The materials on this site, such as text copy, word/PDF documents, videos and graphics, are protected by copyright, trade mark laws, design rights, database rights and other intellectual property rights, which are the property of EBPU, unless otherwise stated.

You are free to access and download the materials located on My CAMHS choices only for your personal use. This means that you may download one copy of posted materials on a single computer for personal, non-commercial use only.

Video footage on the website has been created  solely for the purposes of fulfilling the aims of the My CAMHS choices website, which is to answer questions people may have about CAMHS.


The information provided as part of the videos does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the individuals represented, nor the organisations for which they work. Where individuals do express opinions, these are not necessarily shared by the EBPU, nor any of the organisations involved in the creation of this website.
